Full-black PS conductive particles are the core raw materials of semiconductor carrier tape, which require stable conductivity, uniform particle size and good compatibility with substrates. At present, most domestic high-end full-black PS conductive particles rely on imports, with high procurement costs and long delivery cycles, which restricts the development of domestic carrier tape industry.
Xiamen Hatro Electronics Co., Ltd. has independently developed a full-black PS conductive granulator, which integrates mixing, melting, extruding, granulating and cooling into one, realizing one-stop production of full-black conductive particles. The equipment adopts multi-stage melt shear coupled with ultrasonic dispersion technology, which can fully disperse conductive agents (such as carbon black) in the PS matrix, ensuring that the surface resistivity of the particles is stable at 10⁶–10⁹Ω/sq, and the conductivity attenuation rate after 1000 times of mixing is less than 5%.
The granulator is equipped with a precision particle size sorting system, which controls the particle size of full-black particles at 1-3mm, with a uniformity rate of more than 98%, avoiding the problem of uneven particle size affecting carrier tape production. The production capacity of the equipment reaches 500-1000kg per day, and the raw material utilization rate is as high as 99%, which reduces the waste of raw materials. Compared with imported particles, the cost of full-black PS conductive particles produced by this equipment is reduced by 35%, and the delivery cycle is shortened from 8 weeks to 3 days.
At present, the full-black PS conductive particles produced by Hatro’s granulator have passed the verification of domestic head carrier tape manufacturers, and have been used in the production of SOP-8, QFN and other series of carrier tapes. This breakthrough not only solves the problem of imported dependence of full-black conductive particles, but also provides strong support for the localization of semiconductor packaging materials.
